Tomatoes are a warm season, frost tender annual plants. Seeds require a warm soil of between 18 - 28°C and sown at 5mm deep, take approx 5-10 days to germinate. Sowing at too low a temperature will cause delayed or failed germination.‘Black Krim’ tomato is a Ukrainian heirloom from Crimea region of Black Sea, Crimean Peninsula (Ukraine). First offered in the SSE 1990 Yearbook by Lars Olov Rosenstrom of Bromma, Sweden. This rare, and outstanding tomato yields 3-4″ slightly flattened dark-red (mahogany-colored) slightly maroon, beefsteak tomatoes with deep green shoulders. Green gel around seeds. Fantastic, intense, slightly salty taste. Perfect choice for slicing, salads, and cooking. Also suitable for container/patio garden. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with good yield. Midseason, about 75 days to maturity.
