A vigorous, climbing, tropical lima bean, it lives for many years and is excellent at coping with wet, humid conditions. It can be used as a tropical alternative to broad beans or as a dried bean. The dried beans cook quickly and make tasty vegetarian burgers! Suitable for warm temperate, subtropical and tropical areas.
a fast growing tropical Lima bean which will grow for many years will require a strong trellis for support beautiul white/cream beans speckled with deep burgandy look very attractive when added to salads and other dishes. Used mainly as a dried bean and after soaking can be used in stews, soups and casseroles.
Sowing
Sow direct at a depth of 2-4 cm
